TB80 Space is a hybrid event and social space nestled symbolically in Singapore’s first social housing complex of Tiong Bahru. Constructed in the 1920s by the Singapore Improvement Trust, the British predecessor to the Housing Development Board, Tiong Bahru is the oldest housing estate in Singapore. The area’s rich history has led it through rapid evolution and today is known as a buzzing and trendy neighborhood full of fashionable boutiques and popular cafes.

Continuing G8A’s engagement in knowledge exchange presented through the HANOI TALKS series and various collaboration projects, TB80’s non-commercial exhibition program, curated by G8A, ranges from emerging contemporary to historically distinguished. With no fixed medium or topical agenda, the program highlights projects of cultural and knowledge transfer between east and west, reinforcing the already longstanding relationship between Switzerland and Singapore agreed upon in 2009. The program features works by local Singaporean and international artists and is open to any interested public.

Historically created through social concern, TB80 Space becomes a meeting space promoting interaction and exchange, through exhibitions, social dinners, punctual events and impromptu gatherings the space seeks to inspire though art, architecture, good food and fantastic company.
