“Pizza in a Courtyard Village” is part of the “Pizza through Vietnamese Heritage” theme, one of three in the series, and unveils a sophisticated exploration of traditional courtyard typology.

The spatial narrative explores the interlocking relation between the interior and exterior of a Vietnamese traditional house. Its spatial arrangement is a dialogue between two realms: the courtyard, with its linear and controlled geometry, and the house, a roofed sanctuary enveloping the verdant courtyard. Timber fins delineate the boundary while allowing visual and physical connections. The varying heights of these boundaries, from the descent into the courtyard to the diverse profiles of the pitched roof, provide patrons with an immersive three-dimensional experience.

At the heart of the restaurant lies a verdant oasis, where lush green tiles and furnishings create a serene haven. Suspended from the ceiling, delicate green fabrics trace sinuous curves, infusing the space with an ethereal botanical allure.
