The facilities and landscape design of Hoa Binh Wellness Commune is crafted to create a sustainable ecosystem and communication network throughout the 60-hectare masterplan. Composed of three specific landscape identities; the Forest Valley to the south, River Valley to the north east and Green Field Valley to the north west each zone shows specific character creating special legibility and a human-scale experience to the vast site.

The new precinct aims to offer residents a self-sustaining residential area with all necessary facilities accessible through a soft-transportation network integrated into the site. Families are able to easily access medical, sports, education and leisure centers from their villas, creating a strong community atmosphere.

Communication and integration are key to the landscape design. The conceptual base being the integration of nature into a comfortable modern lifestyle. There is a soft transition from built to organic structures with organized activities such as adventure parks, community gardens and outdoor sports activities, the pathways connecting the whole site also allowing for impromptu moments of respite. As nature integrates fluidly into the everyday, so the design wishes a soft transition into the existing ecosystem with a strong focus on integrating local vegetation species.

The network of waterways that flow throughout the site create organic boundaries, naturally separating masterplanning areas. As residents move through the organic communication routes the water canals are embraced as scenic promenades with areas dedicated to water activities. Systems of water management such as filtering plant species and rainwater recycling have been developed to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainable design. The holistic integration of nature throughout the site demonstrates the possibility of a new green and ecological contemporary lifestyle, closing the preconceived gap between modern life and natural landscape.
