A series of short videos embracing design through architecture, contemporary dance, videography, original score and costume. Presented as a 3 channel installation the videos parallel key projects of the G8A architectural portfolio: Concrete Lace (Hanoi, Vietnam) Punggol Waterway Terraces (Singapore) and The Birds (Geneva, Switzerland).

Thematically the concepts of Contrast and Cohesion were explored for each of the vastly different sites. The creative contributors, from dancers to costume designer, were invited to reflect on the different architectural propositions and interpret this through their creations.

In situ movements, visuals and sounds were created in reaction to architectural intentions. As each project pulls focus towards its specific purpose, so do the dancers manipulate their movements in function of sentiments of place.

Producing an original and malleable video installation opens the possibilities of exhibiting in different formats and spaces, the video series having previously been presented in Singapore in March 2019 and Zurich in June 2019.

Videographer / Director: Vincent Baumont (Almaz Media)
Dancers: Nick Coutsier, Seow Yi Qing, Victor Dumont
Original Music score: Rodolphe Coster
Costume: Kilomet109
