Nguyen Duy Tan

Nguyen Duy Tan, a 2010 graduate from Hanoi Architecture University, joined G8A in 2010. He has been a key player in all internationally awarded competitions, he became a Project Leader in 2014, an Associate in 2017, and in 2023, he became Partner of G8A.

With over 10 years’ experience, Tan’s repertoire includes: creative expertise, Swiss and Singapore regulation expertise and project team management. Tan’s portfolio including various building types, large scale residential complex, mixed-use, preservation and renovation, urban planning and masterplaning. In 2023, Tan delivered project “Oerlikon Gem”, an energy efficient residential complex in Zurich, Switzerland.

Laurence Savy

Laurence Savy (born in 1979 in Paris, France) graduated in 2004 from the Architectural School of Paris Malaquais in Paris, France (EAPM) and joined G8A in 2009, becoming a Director & Associate in 2015 and a Partner in 2023. Laurence is also G8A managing partner of the holding company. Her responsibilities encompass both design and technical coordination, spanning from the conceptual to execution stages, for a diverse range of building types, such as institutional buildings, cooperative offices, residential complexes, mixed-use developments, and retail facilities.

In 2022, Laurence was leading the winning project for the international competition of the new headquarters of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Geneva, Switzerland.

Manuel Der Hagopian

Manuel Der Hagopian (born in 1971 in Geneva, Switzerland) graduated from the Geneva Institute of Architecture, Geneva, Switzerland (IAUG) and Belleville School of Architecture, Paris (ENSAPB). He is one of the original Partners of group8 architects, established in Geneva in 2000, and is a Co-founder and Partner at G8A in charge of operations at the Singapore office. He also co-manages the offices in Geneva, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. His main responsibilities include design direction, conceptual design and project management.

In collaboration with international and local institutions, Manuel co-curates the Singaporean exhibition and event hub TB80 Space whilst simultaneously coordinating touring exhibitions contributing to architectural and cultural exchange.

Through G8A’s think tank, aptly named 8+, he also purses his strong interest in the consequences of a rapidly growing population’s impact on the residential housing situation in South East Asia.

Grégoire Du Pasquier

Grégoire Du Pasquier (born 1970 in Geneva, Switzerland) is an architect and graduate of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, Switzerland (EPFL, 1995). He is one of the original Partners of group8 architects, established in Geneva in 2000, and is a Co-founder and Partner at G8A. Prior to start his own practice, Grégoire gained valuable international design and managment experience in New York and Paris, working for worldwide wellknown companies such as Guedot & Chaslin architects.

Currently in charge of operations at the Ho Chi Minh City and Geneva offices, Grégoire also co-manages the offices in Hanoi and Singapore. His main responsibilities include design direction, conceptual design and project management. Grégoire is at the head of all development projects across the G8A offices and is the initial contact for potential projects and collaborations. His areas of interest lie also in developing projects in the Republic of Korea, Taiwan and Sri Lanka.

In addition to managing current office projects, he is engaged in G8A’s think tank, aptly named 8+, as an assistant tutor for the Sustainable Design Studio headed by Manuel Der Hagopian at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

Andrea Archanco joined G8A in 2017 as Senior Architect and became Associate in 2019. She is currently the leading architect for G8A's Ho Chi Minh City office. Her main responsibilities include overseeing the design process, technical coordination, and project management from conception to execution stage for all projects regarding Ho Chi Minh City. Since graduating from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, she has gained over 10 years of professional experience working in multiple architectural firms in Spain, Italy and Vietnam. Her broad range of experience is constantly expanding with exposure to various types of projects from sustainability research to interior design. Andrea contributes to the G8A team her expertise in architecture, urban planning, sustainable design, interior design, communication and management. Projects currently under Andrea's supervision include the "FPT Office Building Saigon" and "Jakob Factory", both in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Ngoc The Phan joined G8A in 2015 and became Associate in 2017. His main responsibilities include project management, coordination, team management, technical expertise and business development. An architect that is educated, trained and certified from Canada with over 15 years of professional experience working for multiple foreign design offices. As the result, Ngoc is able to contribute his extensive expertise in international design and management to various small and large scale projects. Notable projects he has contributed to are: The Diamond Tower - the new landmark of Hanoi, Jakob Saigon Factory, Somerset Westlake and Toong co-working space, all in Vietnam.

    Thanh Van Nguyen joined G8A in 2012 as a 3D Visualization Specialist. In 2015 he became leader of the 3D department. His main responsibilities include the management of the 3D department leading all members of the team and coordinating the rendering for each of the offices projects. Since graduating from the Hanoi Architectural University (HAU), he has gained over 8 years of professional experience. As team leader, he contributes to the communication of the G8A architectural identity though the numerous rendering of projects. Notable projects he has contributed to are: FPT Software headquarters in Hanoi (Vietnam), and the masterplan of North Tampines residential area in Singapore, Tampines Residences (Singapore), The Alps (Singapore) and Oerlikon Residences (Switzerland). Prior to 2011, Nguyen Van Thanh worked for Vo Trong Nghia Architects on several projects in Viet Nam such as the Stone House (Quang Ninh), Dai Lai Conference Hall (Vinh Phuc), Kontum Indochine (Kontum). Through his experience at G8A he has gained a full understanding of the culture and knowhow of the G8A creative process.

His specialty lies in large-scale projects, from conception to execution.

Since graduating from Manchester School of Architecture in the UK, he has gained over 9 years of professional experience. His education and in-depth knowledge of sustainable architecture and comprehension of Asian cultures has led to him be a key contributor on many notable projects including: Punggol Waterway Terraces I & II (Singapore), Concrete Lace, High Tech Landscape and currently Concrete Waves and Infinite Village, all Vietnam.

    Nicolas Moser (born in 1977 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland) graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, Switzerland (EPFL) in 2006. He joined group8 architects in Geneva in 2003 and pioneered the strategic move to establish an Asian office later becoming Director at G8A in 2015. Nicolas has been instrumental in the ongoing success of G8A, his main responsibilities include concept design, direction, implementation, and management operations at the Hanoi office.

    He supervises G8A’s human resources department in South East Asia and has a keen interest in developing projects and contacts in the Republic of Korea and Taiwan. Through experience gained in both Switzerland and Asia, he has a thorough understanding of the cultural and creative processes required by an international design office.
