“Pizza in Da Lat Forest” project is part of a unique series of exploration “Eat a Pizza in a Forest” by G8A Architects for the well-known Pizza 4P’s group. The first proposal “Pizza in a Pine Forest” completed by the end of 2021, followed by “Pizza in a Native Forest” completed in 2022, both in HCMC represents the idea of transplanting an organic and tactile environment into the consumerist and aseptic space of a shopping mall.

Drawing inspiration from Da Lat, where Pizza 4P’s produces their cheeses, G8A transformed the typical shopping mall space into a verdant hillside adorned with a simulated pine forest crafted from thousands of reclaimed terracotta bricks.

The intentional design of non-repetitive tree patterns enhances the sense of discovery and surprise, as visitors are encouraged to explore the space and immerse themselves in the culinary forest.

The seamless transition from the interior of the mall to the simulated forest further emphasizes the contrast between the consumerist atmosphere and the natural world.
